Dr. Saboo is the Chairman and Chief Diabetologist at Diacare-Diabetes Care and Hormone Clinic, Ahmedabad, India. He is the Immediate Past President of the Research Society of Study of Diabetes In India (RSSDI). He holds various academic positions nationally and internationally-President-All India Association for Advancing Research in Obesity (AIAARO), Executive Secretary for DiabetesIndia, Honourable Secretary of the Indian Academy of Diabetes, Diabetes in Asia Study Group (DASG). He holds the Editorial position in the Journal of Association of Physicians of India (JAPI), Journal of Diabetology (DASG), and International Journal for Public Health & Medicine (IJPHM), Journal of Medical Nutrition & Nutraceuticals, and Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Research (JOMR).In addition, he has contributed to various books on diabetes.

He has around 140 index publications and has been in the position of Principal Investigator for various clinical trials in India.

He is a well-known speaker in the field of Diabetes and an invited faculty for national and international conferences.

His area of focus is type 1 diabetes and technology. He has contributed extensively towards education and diabetes. He initiated an education initiative in rural Gujarat where he appointed district coordinators who further educate general practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
